Four Seasons Food September Challenge is Now Open!

Four Seasons Food Autumn BadgeSo here we are in September. It was my son Zack’s very first day at school today and now that the kids are back, the house is quiet and I hope it will be clean soon! But it also makes me melancholy that time passes so fast and that this glorious Summer of fun and sunshine and laughs is now over.

To be honest, it doesn’t really feel like Autumn here yet. Not wanting to gloat but it’s still 30 degrees here most days. We should be able to eek out that Summer feeling for the rest of the month I hope. And so, with a little change to the schedule (as my FSF partner Louisa is a little too busy to host this round) we have decided that the September theme should be nice and broad.

So, we loosely offer  ‘Sliding in to Autumn‘ as the theme which we hope covers the types of transitional food you might be making this September. With a toe still in Summer but the nights drawing in, this should give you all plenty of scope to be creative. Think of all the things just coming into season: Apples, Pears, Pumpkins, Cabbages…. The list is long and inspiring indeed.

As always, I can’t wait to see what you come up with so please come and get involved!

  1. Thanks so much for hosting again this month Anneli, all my best made plans to get up and running on my new site by September somehow all went a little awol! But I should be well and truly on track for Mid September and very much looking forward to be back hosting FSF in October. And really looking forward to it! I shall of course be entering this month’s challenge too, and have a few ideas up my sleeve 🙂

    1. Don’t give it a thought – I am more than happy to host whilst you get sorted. Nothing worse than trying to do too much before it’s possible. You have enough on your plate 🙂 BUT saying that, I am now looking forward to some lovely Lou entries to the challenge this month! SO GET ON WITH IT !!! (Lol!!) xxxxx

  2. Hope Zack’s first days at school have gone well… and that you’re getting used to a quiet house. I’ve added a link to my entry for September’s challenge, but I’m still resisting sliding too far into autumn just yet!

    1. Thanks Sarah. Zack has been super brave and loves school – I am very lucky to have such easy going kids. I know what you mean about resisting Autumn! It’s funny here…it was 25 degrees this afternoon whilst yesterday it was foggy and raining and I wanted to light a fire! Talk about the changing of the seasons! xx
