So here we are with another heroic round up of recipes from this months Herbs On Saturday challenge. I am flabbergasted that there are so many – 37 to be exact and each and every one of them is wonderful. You guys sure are a talented lot!
I have been very impressed by all the recipes; lots of you have been out foraging this month and wild garlic has played a big part of many of your entries. There have also been lots of more traditional herbs inventively used in many mouthwatering dishes from Prawn Stuffed Squid to Red Lentil Dosas to name only a couple.
I would just like to say a big thank you to all of you who took the time to enter and all of you who popped by at Delicieux and introduced yourselves. I have enjoyed hosting immensely and I have discovered some wonderful blogs for the first time and I look forward to continuing to enjoy your wonderful creativity and cooking.
June Herbs On Saturday will be back with the lovely Karen from Lavender & Lovage so keep your eyes peeled over there for more information on that. She will also be announcing the winner of this months challenge and the prize will be The Little Book Of Herb Tips by William Fortt.

Superb round up Anneli! Thanks for featuring my recipes x
Thanks Jacqueline. Thanks for being a part of such a great month of the challenge!
What a GREAT round-up Anneli and you have been the most amazing host for May! A HUGE thanks! It’s fabulous to see how many people use herbs and the diversity of recipes is staggering! Karen
Thanks Karen, I appreciate that. I have a new found respect for how much work a round up is! With 37 entries it took a very long time to put together but I think it’s great and I did enjoy it! xx
Thank you for this round up, I’ve had a really pleasant couple of hours going through all of the entries.
I’ve enjoyed your one-sentence summaries too, they were all so enticing. You sold my entry better than I could
It has made me smile that it has taken you 2 hours to really take time over each entry! Thats just brilliant. Thank you very much for your compliments…I tried very hard to get the wording right for you all. xx
What a marathon round-up and so well done. Lots of delicious looking recipes as ever. Where would be without herbs? Doesn’t bear thinking about. Thank you.
Life without herbs….NOOOOO! That would be a sad life indeed. Glad you enjoyed the round up xx
Oh Anneli you know I am massive herb lover. =) Of course I am always looking out for new dishes with herbs, thank you for sharing the roundup. Much appreciated!
It has been my pleasure to host Helene. It was certainly a bumper month full of really great recipes to inspire!
Phew, what a round up – so many great recipes… bet you’re ready for a sit down and a cup of tea now!
Phew indeed!! I completely underestimated how long it takes to put a round up like this together! Much tea was consumed whilst doing it! x
Oh my, so much deliciousness in one post… it all looks so beautiful! I spotted beer bread on the way down there – that’s great fun to make because you can put flour, flavourings, whatever, into a sealed jar, gift it to someone and say “just pour in a can of beer and bake”. Makes a really nice gift!
Yes that beer bread looks really good. I LOVE your pop it in a jar as a gift idea! That is pure genius x
Herbs on Saturday round ups are always interesting. It’s finally summer and there are so many inspiring recipes here to try……thank you.
My pleasure! It was a mammoth round up but so full of great recipes that I enjoyed doing it so much!
